EMDR Therapy
Trauma can stay with us—not just in our minds, but in our bodies—shaping how we think, feel, and respond to the world. For many people who have experienced significant trauma, it can feel like they’re stuck in cycles of pain, repeating patterns, or reacting more strongly to situations than seems necessary. This is often because unresolved trauma is still being held in the nervous system, causing us to respond more to the past than the present.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a well-researched and highly effective approach for treating trauma, particularly for individuals experiencing symptoms of PTSD. As a trained EMDR therapist, I offer this modality to clients who feel ready and grounded enough to incorporate it into their healing work.
EMDR isn’t the right fit for everyone, and that’s okay. My priority is always your comfort, safety, and consent. Together, we’ll assess your readiness, build coping tools, and create a strong foundation to ensure the EMDR process is supportive, empowering, and as gentle as possible.
While EMDR can be intense, it can also be life-changing—and I’ll be here to guide you through each step.
